FOUNDER // PRODUCT SYSTEMS ARCHITECT

Perspective / how I see the work

Make the invisible understandable.

Good software does not hide its complexity. It turns complexity into a clear choice for the person using it, a reliable guarantee for the business, and an explainable trail for the engineer who inherits it.

The Architecture of Consequence

Every interface is a binding decision about reality. Every schema, retry policy, workflow, and release path preserves a decision about what matters when money moves, identity is checked, or an operator has to act at 2 a.m. Good engineering makes those decisions explicit enough to inspect, test, and trust.

I work across the full consequence chain: product ambiguity, mobile experience, backend state, cloud delivery, and production behavior. Founder experience made the chain impossible to ignore. If the product breaks, the org chart does not comfort the customer, the auditor, or the person waiting on a critical payment status.

That is the social value of this work. Trustworthy systems are not decoration. They are how people keep access to money, housing operations, identity, and services when networks and providers misbehave. Building them well is a public good dressed as product engineering.

“The best product work leaves people with more agency than it found them.”
EXPERIENCE // PRODUCTION MILESTONES

Proven Track Record

High-stakes systems engineered for longevity.

2021 — 2022 // FOUNDING & SCALE

Property Studio Infrastructure

Architected a multi-surface Flutter mobile & Django DRF backend ecosystem for property management, tenant billing, and IoT access control. Engineered WebSocket & MQTT telemetry pipelines maintaining zero-data-loss synchronization across weak mobile networks.

2023 — 2024 // TRUST RAILS & FINTECH

Fintech Payment & KYC Verification Engine

Engineered zero-trust state transition engines for asymmetric payment gateways and biometric National ID verification. Built idempotent callback reconcilers and immutable event logs defending against double-execution and network timeout drift.

2025 — PRESENT // R&D SYSTEMS LAB

Fetchium Rust Retrieval & MCP Infrastructure

Author of Fetchium: an open-source, sub-millisecond retrieval engine written in Rust with zero-allocation query execution, cryptographic source citations, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool bridges for autonomous AI systems.

TOOLCHAIN // PRODUCTION STACK

Core Capabilities

Disciplined engineering across the entire stack.

CORE LANGUAGES

Rust, TypeScript, Python, Dart, SQL, Go

Systems-level memory safety in Rust for hot loops; Python (Django/FastAPI) and TypeScript for scalable business domain engines; Flutter for reactive cross-platform mobile.

ARCHITECTURE PARADIGMS

Event Sourcing, CQRS & State Machines

Immutable append-only write-ahead logs, distributed locking, idempotent transaction boundaries, and zero-trust capability matrices (Zanzibar tuple models).

CLOUD & DISTRIBUTED EDGE

Cloudflare Workers, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL

Sub-50ms edge KV caching, containerized microservices on AWS ECS, PostgreSQL WAL replication, Redis atomic counters, and zero-downtime blue/green deployments.

OBSERVABILITY & SRE

OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Distributed Tracing

Automated canary health monitors, synthetic replay quarantine gates, OpenTelemetry span propagation, and circuit breaker tripwires.

Operating principles

Three habits for work that has to hold.

PRINCIPLE // 01

Name what must stay true.

Start with the invariant: balances reconcile, identity can be re-checked, inventory matches events.

PRINCIPLE // 02

Leave a trail people can follow.

Good boundaries help the next engineer and operator. If only the author can explain a state, it is fragile.

PRINCIPLE // 03

Finish the last mile.

Release health and recovery belong in the build. Shipping without evidence is just hoping in production.

Architectural Truths

Hard-won rules of production reality.

TRUTH // 01 · Timeouts

A timeout means the answer is unknown. It does not mean the work failed.

A timeout is unknown. Give the user a query path instead of inventing success or failure.

AWS Builders Library
TRUTH // 02 · Payments

A redirect can move a browser. Only verified state should move a balance.

Callbacks arrive late or twice. The browser is not the ledger; settle from verified state.

Stripe PaymentIntent lifecycle
TRUTH // 03 · Memory

Summaries answer “what.” Durable events preserve enough evidence to answer “why.”

Events keep returns, splits, and adjustments explainable when the total changes.

Martin Fowler / Event Sourcing
TRUTH // 04 · Delivery

Speed and stability are not opposites when delivery is treated as a capability.

Fast teams measure, roll back, and recover. Delivery health is product work.
